It only takes a small investment of your time to help with Salem Safe Kids.  Our monthly meetings are approximately an hour in length and are a great way to get involved.  Can't make it to a meeting?  Check our site regularly as we post new information and resources to help YOU!

We are actively seeking parents and others who can help offer of their time and resources.  

Active assistance is needed in the following areas:

Salem Safe Kids Flyers- Keeping with our goals of education and awareness, we are always looking for folks willing to print and post SSK flyers.  These can be hung on most any public bulletin board.  Schools, markets and convenience stores, your pediatricians office and more.  (please make sure you receive permission first)  Our current flyer can be downloaded Here. 

Neighborhood Advocates- willing to to invest a small amount of time weekly to offer "additional eyes" in our community.  Simply put, you agree to keep an ever watchful eye on our community.  The concept is simple- lots of people making a small contribution can move mountains. As a neighborhood advocate, taking smaller steps like an extra "lap around the block", or taking an alternate route to your home with an eye for anything out of the ordinary is all it takes. Of course, we ask that anything of interest be reported to the Salem PD. 

Internet Research- We are looking create an information portal for our community with resources available on-line in one convenient location.   Internet research volunteers can contribute what time they are able to recommend additional child safety and pertinent content for the Safe Kids website.   For more information, please Contact Us!
