10/19/05- Congratulations to Concerned Parents of Amherst! Since it's inception, Salem Safe Kids  has offered FREE website develop to any New Hampshire community looking to promote child safety.  Effective today, the Child Safety website for Amherst NH is live at www.ConcernedParentsofAmherst.org. We wish the community of Amherst well in their initiatives. 

10/17/05- We've Been Linked!  Effective today, the Salem Safe Kids website is now listed on the Official Town of Salem website.  We can now be access in the Get Involved section of the town links section.  Thanks to Salem's IT staff for taking the time to add us.  

10/14-05- This Month's Salem Safe Kids Hero- Allegra Printing!  Yet again, Salem has shown that it's a community on the move!  Allegra Printing has generously offered to sponsor our distribution of 2,000 Halloween Safety Tips fall flyer to the elementary schools of Salem! To be distributed the week prior to Halloween, our flyer will offer a refresher in holiday safety.  Thank again to Allegra Printing for their generosity and willingness to get involved!

10/12/05- Halloween Safety Flyer Approved.  Superintendent Michael Delahanty has approved the distribution of our Halloween Safety Tips flyer to all elementary school students. (Thank you!)  To be distributed the week prior to Halloween, we are providing a Back to Basics list of common sense safety tips.  The flyers will go home will all students.  The flyers will be printed on bright orange paper to better catch the eye of parents.   A heartfelt thanks to the School District for approving this flyer.  You can download a copy of the flyer here!  

Since it's inception, we have remained an non-funded group.  The decision was made early on to seek funding ONLY for specific projects as-needed.  We are now in need of a sponsor for the Flyer.  Kinkos has quoted $180.00 for the 2,000 flyers needed.  If you are interested in sponsoring the flyer, please Contact Us!

7/20/05- Sign Installation Completed.   As promised, the Salem DPW has completed the installation of the first phase of our Child Watch neighborhood sign program. 

7/12/05- Child Watch Sign Update. The new Child Watch signs have been completed and are now on the DPW's schedule for installation.  A heartfelt thanks are in order to the Salem Department of Public Works for their offer to install signs in accordance with town ordinances.  Installation is expected to be completed within a week.   

7/8/05- Rockingham News- Salem SafeKids offer support to Newton NH crime watch program. Police are encouraging residents to mimic the initiative of a group of local parents who are creating a neighborhood watch program. Read the Complete Article Here!

7/1/05- DeCola Paving generously volunteers to sponsor Child Watch signs. A special thanks to Decola Paving of Salem. Working with both the Salem PD and DPW,  our new Safe Kids Neighborhood Sign campaign was in need of funding. Within two hours of our June 2005 email newsletter referencing the need for a sign sponsor, Decola Paving generously offered to sponsor our first order of Salem Safe Kids signs.  Thanks also go out to Captain William Ganley of the Salem PD as well as DPW director Rodney Bartlett for all the help and direction offered.  

6/30/05- The Salem Police Department has adopted the "A Child is Missing" program. (View Video Here)  This program allows a central agency to send out 1,000 phone calls to area residents and businesses in the event that a child, an elderly person (suffering from Alzheimer's), a mentally challenged person or a disabled person becomes missing.
